Working on some art stuff, so I'll share this in the meantime. **note I am not a poet. **
~Empathetic reasoning~
Shivers run down my spine as I realise I am feeling your emotions.
Seeing life through your eyes.
I understand there are reasons, a journey few outside your self can share.
I feel all your struggles, and cried all your tears.
Your fullest potential, unlimited hiding behind your outer walls.
Hidden away from the light.
As you lay inside attempting to save yourself.
You chose Protection to combat the cruel world.
By the passing of time, the dust is your past.
Fully grown, the mirror shows a new face.
Unrecognizable, as you have forgotten
The equation of a child and time.
Is it yet time to tear down the ego of protection?
Or shall you forever hide away never freeing the soul that only ever wished to sour.
The perfect heart withered by judgement…
Barely living, in the endless routine.
Day after day ,dreams passing by…
