I think feminism is stupid.
Fighting for gay rights? That's stupid too.
Hey you, protesting something that might keep ''African Americans' from being equal? That too.
Now, I've got nothing truly against any of these actions, but there's something missing from the equation here.
Why is it that I always see a GSA (Gay/Straight Alliance) at schools? I'll admit, I attend meetings when I can, and I contribute to the cause, but, I myself do not feel like a member of the GSA, however.
When I see these groups, I always look and think, what a waste. You see, I envision a group that doesn't say "Let's aside our differences!", then hide in their corners surrounded by those who visibly support them based on the fact that they can see they can be categorized in the same way. Instead, I see a group comprised of all of these people! Blacks and Whites! Men and Women! Gays and Straights!
If we could put this group together, then everyone who feels as if they aren't supported by others would be pleasantly surprised, I think. The white woman who is so busy earning her rights fighting along side the Feminists does not get credit for her willingness to help the Blacks, but doesn't have time because she's busy hiding behind her own people.
Assuming this SuperGroup could be formed, the confidence of those involved would be multiplied infinitely, knowing that their group is not alone, that others agree and will help.
This idea could also potentially weed out, or cure some hypocrites. Those who fight for the rights of Blacks, then hate Gays would either not be involved with this SuperGroup.
This is all I've got, but I'm sure its enough to start a discussion.
What do you think? Would you be involved in this sort of SuperGroup Vs. any other specific group?
